Respect / Kia Whakaute |
We speak nicely to others, within our school or in our community |
Responsible / Kia Haepapa |
We look after our belongings, putting them in the right place whether we are at school or at home. We look after our equipment at school and always help tidy up. We turn off lights if they are not needed. We keep our bathrooms and shared areas tidy and clean. We all join in to make sure our classroom is clean and tidy as much as possible, especially at the end of the day. |
Confident / Kia Māia |
We greet visitors to our school politely, and if needed, we escort them to the person or area they need.
We like to talk about our learning, and can explain it to other people. |
Independent / Kia Mana Motuhake |
We look after our own belongings and take care of them ourselves. We listen and learn carefully, and try different strategies before asking for help. We know that we are representing our families and community, and always behave to our highest standards. |
Proud / Kia Hūkere |
We know our school is unique and special. We are happy to talk about our learning and school, and to explain how this is special. We look after ourselves, our friends, the adults who support us, and our environment. We stand tall. We know about our history, and how things happened to contribute to the lives we lead today. We know that we are on a pathway of excellence and how important we are in contributing to our school, community and country. |
